The Pentlands Ceilidh Band arrived resplendent in their kilt outfits, nice to see a touch of tartan in a guest band. The boys’ professionalism didn’t end with their well-chosen attire, their music and friendly manner went down well with the appreciative audience. It was obvious this band are comfortable playing with each other and produced that tight melodic sound they have become renowned for. Some interesting harmonies and thoughtful arrangements were perfectly executed with apparent ease. Colin Brown and Derek Rae exchanged lead with Colin providing the powerful midi backing with young Gary Kellow knocking out the back-beat on drums.

Hi guys,
Hi Derek, Scott and the rest of the PCB,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you (again) for your wonderful performance last Saturday.
The ceilidh/disco combination suited everybody, and we were delighted that you were able to persuade so many people to join in. The instruction you provided was just right, gently mocking our general ineptitude and praising effusively when we got something right !!!!
I
We would definitely be happy to ask you to perform at our next daughter’s wedding (but I’m hoping this will be a few years in the future …).
Melanie and I wish you all lots of success with your band in the future. You are all talented and dedicated musicians who clearly love what you do. Many congratulations !
Best Wishes,
Nigel Duthie
Just a note to say a big thank you for entertaining us last Friday at Dundas. We all enjoyed the party and the music played a massive part. The balance between ceildh and disco was perfect . We
couldn't have made a better choice. True professionals!
Best wishes

Just wanted to say thanks very much for playing at my partner's 40th last Saturday, despite our slightly shambolic attempts at ceilidh dancing you happily and patiently played on! It's much
appreciated. You were also a pleasure to deal with.
We had loads of compliments about you and we'll have no hesitation recommending you to anyone who asks. - All the best for the future.

Just a quick thank you for playing at our wedding at orroco pier, I got a lot of good feedback from guests, particularly the english ones who didn't really know what ceilidh music was never mind how
to do the dances! I particularly enjoyed what was probally the last dance you did which was massive and had two lines of guys n gals, think its strip the willow, but everybody loved it.

I just wanted to drop you a quick e-mail to say many thanks for the fantastic music you provided at our wedding 3 weeks ago. Everybody seemed to have a great time, and we've had countless
people say to us how much they enjoyed the ceilidh, and how wonderful the music and dancing was, so many thanks.

One of the best bands around to make sure the dancing continues right through to the small hours and beyond.

Finally for those who still had strength and energy, the Pentlands Ceilidh Band took over the stage for the ceilidh, keeping attendees hopping and bopping well into the wee small hours.

Just a wee note to say you and your lads were tremendous. Thank you – everyone keeps asking who you were. It was a truly fantastic night and you made it. The manager at the hotel said he
never saw the dancefloor empty and the band were magnificent. Thank you for a really great night and making it special for Louise and Neil.
Thank you, Mary Poulson
